ABOUT

Matt Flügger

"WILDLY CREATIVE AND MULTI-FACETED, WITH A RAZOR-SHARP INSTINCT FOR EMERGING CULTURAL TRENDS. "

Matt Flügger’s career exemplifies the art of purposeful reinvention.

Raised in New Jersey by an Air Force B-52 Captain and pilot, and the Head Nurse of Columbia Presbyterian in Manhattan, Matt inherited a focus, drive and discipline that has allowed him to live multiple lives at once.

He is an award-winning Brand Architect and Content Creator, reframing brand expression through a fusion of emerging technology, adventure-driven messaging, and authenticity as a core operating philosophy. His work experience has brought him from music clubs to movie studios, from loading docks with Teamsters to plant medicine journeys with Navy SEALs in black bag locations.

Matt made his bones in entertainment from the ground up, from building AVID suites for LA Trailer houses, to line producing Indies in Canada to Executive Producing an Original Series currently making the rounds at the streamers. Matt believes that audience engagement is driven by authenticity much more than by distraction or material reward, which means that every successful market endeavor must see itself as a lifestyle narrative first and product offering second. Attention is revenue, so brands must be aware, dynamic, and above all else, real.

At Sony Pictures Television, Matt revolutionized studio production years ahead of AI automation when he created an On-Air Department that blended supply chain and agile methodologies to create a hyper-efficient, industry leading team that transformed broadcast delivery. This workflow allowed Sony to bring all of of its global brands to Culver City, creating a lasting impact that was imitated and implemented across the studio system.

Today, Matt has set his sights on the $3.6 Trillion dollar Global Transformational Economy, where Wellness, Personal Development, Sustainable Tourism, Location-Based Experience and Community Engagement are converging to redefine lifestyle branding. He believes that the collision of the Creator and Transformation Economies will eclipse celebrity as a key engagement vector for entertainment. Social media and gaming have already replaced movies for next-gen audiences and these consumers seek immersive adventure over material consumption. Lifestyle brands now transcend traditional product and studio offerings, embodying audience aspirations and an overall desire for connection. People are looking within for value, and where attention goes revenue flows.

Through Busterhouse, his brand agency, Spiritwalker, his travel company, and The Divine Field, his groundbreaking series, Matt Flügger is charting a very different future for Branding, Adventure, and Personal Transformation to serve an interconnected, self-aware world.

ARCHETYPE ENGINEERING™

Where Adventure Becomes the Brand

The influencer industry is estimated to be worth $250 billion today, and Goldman Sachs predicts the number will swell to nearly $500 billion by 2027. This is the Future of Entertainment. Powerful personal branding backed with a compelling narrative will determine who gets to play in this evolving market.

The Heart of Archetype Engineering is having a mission and knowing your inner worth in combination with understanding your external ‘hit’. Whether a client is an influencer or a major studio, engagement now means perfecting this relationship of media creation and audience.

As our client, we work with you to engineer an Archetype you bring to market- the narrative your talent and grit illuminates, challenges and solves. You bring your audience on the journey, to support you as you develop and later prevail in full view of the world, and this creates sustained attention, or resonance. Resonance becomes revenue.

Authenticity transforming adversity is the number one most magnetic quality of any market offering. You can’t fake real. This is what unites audiences, and this is what the big studios lost in the underwear-and-steroids miasma of Big Data movies. In the new Creator Economy, glamour is obsolete

Key to the Archetype Engineering™ process is clarifying that narrative using proven big-studio expertise to shape your story and broadcast you to the world. We partner with high-drive clients to create a curated mix of brand, technology and style fueled by personal transformation.

Be your own hero. Tell your story. It’s time.

Matt Flügger

BACKGROUND

Matt has complete faith in his intuition, a builder’s mindset, and uncanny timing. Together these qualities have yielded a very different life path.

In the 1980s, as an underage goth kid in New York, he slipped into iconic clubs like Building, The Ritz and Limelight, learning firsthand how subcultures thrive when they find their tribe. At Bentley University, Matt founded the Student Union, spun records as a radio DJ, and debated Oxford, setting the stage for his career by making his own rules: while at UMass, when he discovered he could not get a seat in the the only available Super 8 film class, he launched a film festival instead, hosting the event and handing out awards to the winners. Later he applied to a prestigious visual arts school with a written portfolio. He was accepted.

From slam poetry in Boston to singing light opera, to metal sculpture, to survival training, Matt’s creative path has been anything but linear. His visual media career began at the dawn of the AVID era and quickly accelerated—his debut short film, FIND, was nominated for Oscar competition at the Austin Film Festival. Over the years, Matt has done it all: interviewing Celine Dion while living at the Mirage in Las Vegas, navigating the chaos of working with Lindsay Lohan at the Chateau Marmont, producing, directing and scoring Indie film projects that led to 30 global festival appearances and delivering award-winning branding for Sony Pictures Television, where his creative content reached over 75 million viewers by the time he departed to join a global subculture of outsiders exploring the world’s oldest healing modalities.

As a musician, Matt has toured across the U.S. and Canada, fronting the rowdy blues duo The Black Currents. He performed alongside his hero Peter Murphy when the goth king presented the Bauhaus catalog for the first time in decades. As an acoustic artist, he was featured on Avril Benoit’s CBC Radio show Here And Now.

Matt is the creator and host of The Divine Field, a travel series that follows rebels and seekers to the farthest corners of the globe in pursuit of ancient wisdom. He believes that if we awaken people to the divine intelligence within them, we can ignite a collective shift capable of reshaping the world. A spiritual explorer for over 20 years, Matt has traveled the globe, immersing himself in ceremonies, visiting sacred sites, studying at the world-renowned Arthur Findlay College of Psychic Arts, and engaging with spiritual leaders across cultures—all in pursuit of deeper insight into the nature of consciousness and communication.

Matt has an infectious, kinetic spirit and thrives in motion. Wherever there are motorcycles, guitars, and fellow adventurers, Matt is probably at the center of the action—chasing the next adventure with curiosity, creativity, and an unyielding belief that life is meant to be experienced at full volume.
